Will it go on my car?

Yes – the units go on any fossil fuelled engine and so therefore suits just about any petrol, diesel or LPG fuelled engine.

Will it affect my car insurance?

As with any modification to your car such as a tow bar, stickers (yes, really) or a performance air filter, you are obliged to inform your insurance company and this responsibility lies with you. However, it should not be assumed your premium will increase as a result of fitting an ezero product. As yet, we have yet to hear from anyone that has had their premium increased, and usually the insurance company just thanks them for letting them know. At the end of the day, the obligation is yours. If you choose to inform your insurance company, the ezero should be described as a fuel additive for emission reduction or an emission reduction unit. Please note, the ezero does not affect your speed or your safety and isn’t visually desirable (i.e. appealing to thieves).

Will it affect the warranty on my vehicle?

Having a CGON ezero system installed in your vehicle will not impact on your vehicle manufacturer's warranty unless a defect occurs and it can be proven that it was as a direct result of the CGON modification. This is the same for anything you install, be it telematics, aftermarket products or additives used in fuels or tank cleaners etc. CGON's ezero systems have been installed across the world in many hundreds of vehicle applications and have been tried and tested for millions of miles in various atmospheric conditions. CGON are pleased to state that none of the vehicles or engines have suffered as a consequence of installing the ezero products, in fact quite the opposite. In order to provide our clients with additional peace of mind, we have acquired a comprehensive insurance package for the design, manufacturing, supply and installation of our products against property damage or injury arising from a product supplied directly or indirectly by CGON Limited, which has caused a defect as a direct result of the ezero products. This could include cost of repair or replacement along with financial reward for loss of business, where applicable.

Can I get it put on another car if I decide to change cars?

How often does it need topping up?

You should top-up the electrolyte liquid every 6,000 miles or so, or when indicated on the wireless key fob that comes with your ezero as standard.

How do I top it up?

When the system indicates your box needs topping up, you use 1 x 360ml refill pouch available from your nearest installer on our website. It’s as easy as topping up your washer bottle.

My car has been chipped / re-mapped can I still have a unit fitted?

Yes, you can however you may not see significant emission reductions due to the remap considerably increasing emissions.

Are there any guarantees on savings?

This depends on the vehicle you drive and how you drive it. The system will provide you with a fuel enhancement of up to 20% (based on customer feedback) and will reduce your emissions by up to 80%.

General questions asked

Where does it actually go?

It is normally installed within the engine bay, however if room is limited we will install behind the front grill of your vehicle.

How long will it last for once it’s fitted?

The life of the unit depends entirely on the environment and application it is kept in, but on a normally used domestic vehicle we would expect the box to last indefinitely. As there are no moving parts, it really is a question of whether the box is damaged in any way such as in an RTA.

Does it need servicing?

No, just topping up with our electrolyte solution every 6,000 miles or so, or when indicated on the wireless key fob that comes with your ezero as standard.

How will I know it’s working?

You will have a wireless device which will indicate your cell is on and when it requires a top up.

How long does it take to fit?

Most installations take around 1-2 hours.

Can I fit it myself?

No, this is a specialised product and requires qualified personnel which are certified by CGON Limited.
